Building a Fairer, Stronger Future Together

Thanks for stopping by. Mt Roskill has been my family’s home for over twenty years. Our friends are here, our kids go to our local schools, and I want to see everyone thrive in this beautiful, resilient, multicultural community.

I’m standing with our community this year because we need real progress on the issues that affect families in Mt Roskill. Decent jobs for people, affordable housing and healthcare, investment to keep communities safe from flooding, and action on the cost of living.

If you believe in a future built on opportunity, dignity for all, and community strength, I’m glad you’re here. Explore the site, get involved, and join me in helping to change the government and winning Mt Roskill.

About Me

Kia ora, and thanks for visiting. I’ve dedicated my career to public service because I believe politics should make people’s lives better. That belief has guided my work as a Labour Member of Parliament, in ministerial roles, and throughout years of standing up for Mt Roskill.

What I’ve Delivered

  • Major upgrades to local parks as a Local Board member

  • A publicly accessible police station restored after its closure

  • Public transport improvements across Mt Roskill

  • A significant boost to public housing investment in the electorate

  • Increases to the minimum wage, Fair Pay Agreements, and stronger health and safety laws to protect working people

  • National‑level progress on cleaner transport, fair pay, and investments to protect Mt Roskill and other communities faced with flooding

What I’m Focused On Now

  • Real action on the cost of living. More affordable healthcare and housing.

  • Strengthening the public services families rely on

  • Keeping our local neighbourhoods safe and resilient as we face a more unstable climate

  • A fair go at work - decent wages, safe workplaces, and support for people as work changes

  • Ensuring Mt Roskill has a strong voice in local and national decisions

My Priorities for Mt Roskill

  • Getting houses built again on large empty sites left idle in our community

  • Making doctors’ visits more affordable and accessible

  • Supporting local small businesses and keeping our streets safe

  • Improving public transport across the electorate

  • Taking real action to reduce flooding risk and build climate resilience

Why I’m Still Committed

  • I believe in constructive, values‑driven leadership

  • Making real change is hard. I have the experience and toughness to get things done.

  • I love Mt Roskill. It’s given me so much, and I am here to serve our community.
